Shifter Knobs
With so many aftermarket shifters available, there is no way for me to determine what thread you need so it is up to you to select the correct thread size insert required. When the order is received, I add that insert to your knob. Once I do this - it is YOUR knob - there are no returns for wrong sizing. Please DOUBLE CHECK.

** ALWAYS SECURE SHIFT KNOB USING A JAM NUT **
1. Clean all threads
2. Thread (supplied) Jam Nut onto shifter shaft until no more than 3/4" of threads are visible above Jam Nut. (if not supplied - feel free to add one if you prefer).
3. (For smaller shifter diameters only) Place flat washer on shifter above Jam Nut
4. Thread shift knob onto shifter shaft until it touches the Jam Nut and becomes snug. (or flat washer)
CAUTION - DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN - you will damage the threads
DO NOT ALLOW SHIFT KNOB TO "BOTTOM OUT" ON SHIFTER SHAFT. DAMAGE COULD RESULT WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY (stripped insert threads).
5. Turn knob back slightly (counter-clockwise) until graphics are in desired position
6. Hold the shift knob in position with one hand and tighten the Jam Nut with a wrench against the bottom of the knob until it is tight.

* There is No guarantee of fit for these. This is where your customizing skills are used .
There is simply too many manufacturers of the older cars with their own methods of attaching factory knobs to be able to supply a standard fitment option.
** If you are able to supply me with a thread size, I will do my best to add a threaded insert that will work for you.
*** I will supply the smaller knobs with drilled pilot holes only.It is up to you to increase hole size if needed and affix the knob as required.
Some factory knobs are press fit onto shafts, some are threaded, some are friction fit and some (radio knobs) are held on with either friction fit slots or set screws.
Your instalation options could include using an epoxy (JB Weld™ or other), friction fit with wraps of teflon or electrical tape, or enlarging the hole and epoxing some "Threaded Rod".

#10-24 UNC: Coarse-thread alternative used across various ididit hazard and lever configurations.
